When we bought our RV, our main goal living in it full-time was to make everything feel much more bright and open. We tore out some of the built-ins that were there, but this particular one had lights wired into it. Removing it was going to be a huge hassle, so I knew an RV Built in Transformation had to happen. You can see them at the end of the rig here:
We finished our first major project, updating our RV Living Room Space.
Once that was done, we started on what is going to be our dining space. The end of the rig is getting a built in bench with storage underneath (hello, cat litter box storage!). Since the built ins above were staying, I started researching and asking around for the best paints to use. A friend of mind introduced me to this stuff, and you guys it is AMAZING!
You just clean your surface with their prep liquid and then paint! No need for wax or anything.
I removed the hinges and handles and painted them with this matte black spray paint.
We will be doing the same to the rest of the cabinets in the RV once we get our new sink, counter tops and appliances in. I cannot wait to see the whole thing finished! Check out this video of the transformation, before and after:
The window treatments make a huge impact, too! We went with these striped farmhouse curtains from Amazon and they are the perfect curtain! For some color and texture, we are using these bamboo shades from Amazon throughout the RV.
I could not be any happier with the amazing built in transformation and cannot wait to show you guys what else we are up to! Follow us on Instagram to keep up with our progress!
