The Most Perfect Tea Cup(cakes)!

A friend of mine contacted me this week for help! She had planned a tea themed baby shower, and due to COVID was doing it as a “drive by” shower. They wanted cake, but needed something they could hand out as people pulled through. Obviously, cupcakes were the answer! BUT we wanted them to be something a little more fun and whimsical.

I remembered looking at these silicone cupcake teacups back when I was planning Addilyn’s Tea for Two birthday party and decided that they would be perfect!

To make the rosettes, I simply use a Wilton 2D piping tip to make an “e” shape. For a little extra sparkle on these, I added some Vintage Rose Gold sprinkles by Sprinkle Pop. 

What I loved the most about the teacups is that you can bake directly in them! No fuss or mess. Simply wash them, line them up on a large baking sheet and fill with batter! 

I used my brand new Russian piping tip set to do the smaller flowers and could not love how they came out more! You will definitely see more of this style…thanks, Hubby!

How easy, elegant and cute did these turn out?! Simple but classy and easy to pass out on the go! If COVID is going to make drive through baby showers a thing, at least we bakers can help make them a little more special!
